And there you have it. My 2013 rankings–hopefully just in time for your draft.  But this post would be quite incomplete without predicting how well the Cleveland Browns will do this season.  Yes.  I am a Browns fan.  I have been since I was a little boy in the 1960s.  But since their comeback in 1999, the Browns have had a history of under performing.  The constant saying of a Browns fan, “There’s always next year”.  Haha.  But this happens every year!  How many Super Bowls have the Browns been in?  Probably all of them–as ticket holders.  The Cleveland Browns have never lost a Super Bowl.  They have never played in a Super Bowl.  Will they make it this year?  Hahahahahahaha.  I just fell on the floor pounding my fists in a fit of laughter.  Will they make the playoffs?  Snicker.  Giggle.  Guffaw.  Quite hardly.  Oh, I would be the first person to be delighted if I was wrong.  But there are few surer bets in all the world.  Ok.  Will the Browns win half their games–go 8 wins and 8 losses?  Umm.  No.

By the numbers from last year I projected the Browns to have a record of 3 wins and 13 losses.  But the probability is close on a couple games.  Let’s give them those games.  Now we are up to 5 wins.  And let’s say they win a surprise game.  That brings us to 6 wins provided they can win all the games they are “supposed” to win.  So a 6-10 would good for the Browns.  They have not seen anything that good for years.  Go Browns!

  1. After their awesome game 1 showing, your 3-13 prediction may be a bit optimistic! Oh well..that just means a better draft pick for next year!
(How we could use Leroy Kelly, Gary Collins and Bill Nelson right about now!)
